Land of the Giant Furniture

I think it is a fact of aging: we require ever larger furniture. Roomie had a giant bookshelf / table top unit constructed for her side of the studio, and I recently had built by the same people a 5 foot by 7 foot bookshelf with three spindle doors. (I meant to provide a picture, but the batteries on the camera had lost their mojo.) Additionally, we acquired from Jackalope a rather large sideboard, decorated with giant rivets and long-linked chains. We use the sideboard for storing our clothes. It is much more commodious than the dressers it replaced, which were inexpensive to begin with and had served me or someone in my immediate family daily for at least 40 years.

We are contemplating one armoire for the living room, and another future one for the media center in the future casita. Eventually we will become very small in comparison to our decor.
