Little Egg Motor

How one values for risk tells much about the person.

mo-125-imp-lusso.jpgA friend of mine informed me of the presence of a little 125cc Benelli for sale locally. I called the lady up and confirmed that it was in fact an egg-motor Motobi Benelli. She would like to get $750 for it, but I think she might go lower. The question for me is — should the bike be fairly complete and appear to be easy to get running — what is a non-running egg motor Benelli 125 worth? The seller has wrestled with this question herself.

Restored, the value of the bike would be in the $1500-2000 range. Running, it should command about $1000. If there is a 50-50 chance that I can get the thing running (I will have to see it to better assess guess about its condition), it should be around $500.
