Lumberjacking

I think the chainsaw needs to be sharpened. So slow going was the reduction of the dying plum tree to a stump, I resorted to my stepfather's hand-me-down axe. I widened the cut begun with the chainsaw with about 60 swings. You think wielding a chainsaw is tough work? Try cutting a tree down to size by hand! I fired up the saw again and finished the deed. In celebration, I cut up the plum logs and reduced the larger branches to chippable size. It is times like these that I miss Generation Bob, Minnesota's veritable font of masculinity. He is equally suited to instruct the proper way to swing an axe, sharpen a chainsaw blade, and answer arcane Microsoft Windows questions. If only he were here to climb the apple and pear trees, chainsaw in hand, and lower their canopies by 4 to 5 feet.

Nothing is more dangerous than a dull chain saw.

I just built a house in an afternoon. The trees don't happen to be made of graham crackers, do they? Cause that wouldn't only take 15 minutes to trim.
