One of the nice features of MT-Blacklist is that you can "de-spam" comments and trackbacks in batches. When I get comment spam, I check the box next to them and then press the "de-spam comments" button at the bottom. It forwards the suspect comments to the owner of the Blacklist, and he reviews them for spam content. This feature of MT-Blacklist works even if the plugin is disabled for incoming comments. Mad props to Jay Allen for this plug in!
Since I have been submitting spam, I have noticed a drop off in spam activity; I suspect that the spammers will return with another barrage but I think I have the tools to keep them at bay for a while.
